DAMEN

1.      Mrs. Zareen Niazi

Mrs. Zareen Niazi holds Master Degree in Human Resources Management and Masters in Public Administration. Basically she is Human Resource Specialist having 16 years of experience in HR. She provided her services as Human Resource Consultant for 9 years in different countries by addressing a variety of Organizational Development and Human Resource needs. Furthermore she worked as Deputy Manager Human Resource in Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). In addition to this she also worked as Research Associate of Asian Development Bank, World Bank and International Labor Organization.  Currently she is working as Executive Director of Ala-ud-Din Academy Lahore and Principal Consultant in Zen Innovations USA. Zareen Niazi is wife of Imran k. Niazi and founder member of DAMEN and chairperson board members.

2.      Mr. Adnan Afaq

Mr. Adnan Afaq holding Degree of Bachelor in Commerce and qualified as a Chartered Accountant from England & Wales in 1985. He worked as audit manager in AF FERGUSON & Co.   He has diversified experience of chartered companies and banks. He worked as Senior Assistant Manager in Deutsche Bank. Furthermore he worked in Prime Commercial Bank, Askari Bank, Pak Oman Investment Company. He served as CEO in Askari Investment Management Ltd for two years, and CEO/MD in Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Ltd. He joined as DAMEN's member board of director in 2008.

3.     Ms. Naghma Rashid

Born in Lahore on September 17, 1957, Ms. Naghma Rashid holds Post graduate degrees in Public Administration and Educational Planning Management and has over 30 years of experience in the field of education and development. Presently holding a position of Executive Director and Secretary to BOD at Development Action for Mobilization and EmancipatioN-DAMEN, she is involved in overall management and administration of the organization. DAMEN is a leading NGO working for the empowerment of poor, especially women and children living in 681 villages and 141 Union Councils of five districts of Punjab, through a network of one head office, four area offices and twenty field offices. More than 200 full time professionals are working under her supervision to help bring a meaningful change in the lives of poor people of Pakistan especially women through the programs pertaining to non formal education for out of school children especially young girls between the age group of 5 to 15 years, provision of micro finance services, income generating activities for poor women, enhancing of entrepreneur skills among women, group formation and collective decision making at village level and linkage with other civil society organizations, constitute major areas of focus of DAMEN. She is also having a vast experience in formal education sector which helped her in designing and implementing non-formal education program at DAMEN which presently is providing opportunity to more than 3,000 children, mainly young girls to acquire primary education. Being the Executive Director of DAMEN, she is involved in making the women of marginalized communities self reliant not only economically but socially as well in a society where women subjugation is norm. Her responsibility includes planning, decision-making and all major tasks of directing, managing and coordinating the activities undertaken by DAMEN and necessary steps required for the efficient working of the institution

4.      Mr. Asim Saeed

Mr. Asim Saeed holds degree of Master of Science Construction Management & bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.  He is having 20 years of experience in project Management includes extensive experience supervising multiple highway, residential, industrial and commercial construction projects. He served as Construction Coordinator in Rhoades Asphalt Paving Company, Assistant Project Manager in Harmain Pvt. Ltd. In Technical and Resource Development Pvt. Ltd worked as Electronic Data Processing Manager. Furthermore he joined Building Systems Pvt. Ltd and served as Project Manager, served as General Manager in Asim Construction, Lahore, and Construction Manager in Descon Engineering.   Served as Sr. Project Engineer in Karri & Ghossayn PLC, Sydney. Currently he is attached with Enviroguard Pty Ltd, Sydney as Manager Erskine Park Landfill.

5.      Ms. Ghazala Saigol

Ms. Ghazala Saigol having Degree of Bachelors of Arts, also A -levels from Switzerland in 1971.  She is working as social activist since 1992. Currently she is doing her own jewelery business by the name of "Private Collection" at Avari Hotel. She did embroidery and designer business for women from 1985-1992. Furthermore she served as Sales Executive at American Express Travel. She is serving as member Board of Director of DAMEN.

6.      Mr. Imran K. Niazi

Mr. Imran K. Niazi is Interim Director at Global Quality the Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta. He is M.S Chem. Engineering and has around 35 years of experience in Engineering. From 1996 to present, Imran k. Niazi carried numerous roles in Coca-Cola Company Atlanta.  Prior to that he was Executive Director, owner AFTEC (Pvt.) LTD Pakistan. For 8 years he worked as Production Manager Glaxo Pakistan Ltd, also worked as Production Manager Milkpak Limited, Pakistan. He is husband of Zareen Niazi and member board of director.

7.      Ms. Sawela Anees

Ms. Sawela Anees is Post Graduate in Applied Psychology.  

8.      Mian Altaf Ahmed

Mr. Mian Altaf joined Family Planning Association of Pakistan (FPAP) as Motivation Officer in 1967 was promoted as Director in 1972, Senior Director in 1974 and served as Chief/Director General from 1980 to 1988. Also officiated as Chief Executive Officer from time to time. Currently he is serving as freelance consultant, treasurer of DAMEN, treasurer of Yes Network Pakistan, Voice President of Family Planning of Pakistan (FPAP), also member board of Governors of Academy Female Community Workers and HEAL Trust.

9.      Mr. Ahsan Rashid

Mr. Ahsan Rashid is currently working as Financial Advisor and Life Insurance Advisor at Berkshire Securities, Inc and Berkshire Insurance Services Inc. respectively. Having diversified experience in the areas of public accounting, systems development, personal finance, investment management and entrepreneurship, he is also serving as board member of DAMEN.
